A LJ update? What?

Reasons why I am so very lucky lately...

I recently returned from an awesome trip to Italy
I won $1,000.00 on a scratch off lottery ticket (Thanks, John!)
That $550.00 estimate to repair my car is now gone b/c the DMV messed up on my inspection
I don't work on July 3rd and I only work til 3pm on July 4th
I have an interview for a good job on Friday

oh, yeah, and...

I am engaged to the greatest person I know! <3<3<3

I am quite lucky for these reasons and much more. Go life!***

***Here's hoping my LJ update does not jinx such luck.

People fucking suck.

I could do the right things forever and it really wouldn't fucking make a difference. No matter how much you are there for someone, or help them, or love them, they'll still fucking come back and bite you in the ass. Nobody would ever dare to actually COMMUNICATE or even try to understand. Let's just all be vindictive babies. Sounds about right.

SO, here's a big FUCK YOU to every asshole on the planet.

The end.

I have been greatly occupied by the BNL Blog since they started recording. Look at me, I'm on the internet!

Hey Ed! I just received a message on MySpace from a band called The Kane Brothers. They say your vocals are on their new CD. Can you tell me anymore info about it? Thanks!
Asked by Jill Fiorenza, Dover, NJ and answered by Ed on Tuesday, October 25

They are good pals of ours. I wrote and sang a rap part on one of the tracks on their new CD. They're a GREAT bunch of guys. Brothers too. If you live in the Boston are, you should try to check them out. Nice guys, fun music... what more could a person ask for??

Garfield!
You scored 45 Aggression and 80 Silliness!
Cynical, bitter, hilarious and sometimes violent, you are Garfield! You love hedonism and schadenfreude. You have a great sense of humor and a little mean streak. People either love you or hate you, but I would wager that the majority love you.

Updating my journal after a 5 week hiatus...aren't you ecstatic?! I know I am.

I have a lot of writing to do this semester. Between poems about Dr. Phil, sketches about televangelist infomercials and 90 year old men, and a sitcom pilot (for class, not Group Therapy [yet]),I have nothing left to put in eljay. Holy crap, I have to think of a capstone...and write it. Bah!

We saw Jump's Last Hurrah in NYC the first week of school. It was awesome, but still sad. :( It'll be better (and sadder) at DOCK STREET!! Whoo. Justin ran into Ryan Miller from Guster after the show because he always "runs into" pseudo rock stars (Jim Creeggan, Darren Jesse...). He's like a magnet for mediocrity. That makes me sound bad, actually. But I really wanted to say "magnet for mediocrity" because I think it's funny. Justin, don't be offended by my love of the almost-alliteration.

Chard's birthday is on Wednesday! Rich, will you pay me for your birthday too? We're gonna do something Friday. What, I do not know.

We saw Four Brothers on Friday and Red Eye on Saturday. I liked them both. We missed the first 15 minutes of Four Brothers but it was one of those movies where it didn't matter. It was mindless action with some jokes interspersed, but I think it was the perfect night for that kind of movie. Red Eye was definitely enjoyable. Cillian Murphy was sweet as the evil guy (no, I didn't see Batman) and Rachel McAdams did NOT get hit by a bus (sorry to spoil that). Now as long as Wes Craven doesn't try to squeeze a sequel out of this, we're good.

That's it for me. I should prolly start my day...at 12:45pm.

Woody Allen
Your film will be 54% romantic, 44% comedy, 21% complex plot, and a $ 32 million budget.
Be prepared to have your life story shot entirely in New York City -- though lately Woody's been loving shooting in London. Also, your music soundtrack is all jazz from before 1949. Filmography: Annie Hall, Manhattan, Stardust Memories, Everyone Says I Love You, etc. Woody has released one film per year consistently for the past 35 years. For the past 15 years he's been trying to make films like his older, funnier ones, just like characters in his Stardust Memories film suggest throughout. Regardless of his personal life (btw, his current wife was never *his* daughter), his films are American classics.

Hehe, duty.

Someone wrote that on a piece of printer paper and posted it in the tech lounge. Oh those bleeding heart liberals.

So, this guy walks into a talents agent's office and says, "I have this new act..." 55 bowel movements later, the talents agents asks, "what do you call this act?". The guy replies, "The Aristocrats". So I saw the documentary of that joke (a documentary about a joke?) last night. My favorite version was Bob Saget's. He used some colorful adjectives that made it so much better than the others. "It was like Spin Art..."

Got to see Jake's sketches of the new set for LTR last night...looks fuckin awesome. We just hope the loading dock door is big enough to get it INSIDE Hobart Hall. Never thought about that....but otherwise, it is completey amazing that we are going to have a brand-new not dangerous set this year for the show. I don't know what we would have done without Jake and his connection with Allied.

I need to start getting things ready for WPBN and LTR. Shouldn't be too bad, it'll all come together. Our first general meeting should be the 2nd week of school, so I'll book Martini for that. Thursday Sept. 15th, 12:30PM. Be there! JJ did an LTR schedule (THANK YOU) so that's ready to go. We should have producers meetings in the conference room. That'd be sweet. Well, now I'm all motivated to get shit started. Woohoo, better take advantage of this before it passes.

I heard I get a free MSNBC T-shirt. Yay, free stuff!

It's the end of July so a bunch of the interns are done. Silly me, deciding to intern through August...I must be crazy.

I got a reply from MTV Networks asking me to interview for a Fall internship. It made me think, "Shit maybe I should do it now..." but I realize that I can't really change my schedule now for the Fall, plus I'm craving a break from the interning. I'm sure I will find something great for the Spring.

Tonight we are seeing The Devil's Rejects AGAIN, so Richie and Rachael can see it. Sweet.

Hello, Journal.

Having a good weekend...went to the pool on Friday with JJ. It was like being at a resort. ;-) We ate at Chevy's (no margaritas) and met up with Justin to see the greatest movie this summer had to offer: The Devil's Rejects. It had so much torture, so many memorable quotes, so much Skynrd. Two Thumbs Up.

Now I wanna play pool and order up "Free Bird" on the Jukebox 8 times in a row. Good times.

Today, I worked at the LC all day where we now have music in the store. Alot of it is current and good, some of it is like Gregorian Chant. But I do think I was wrong and I like the music. After work, went to the Olive Garden with mom. Yay. Now I'm home, played some guitar, and I'm chillin. That's right, guitar!! My strings are so rusty...need new ones badly.

Tomorrow is me and Justin's 5 year anniverary! Holy my goodness, that is crazy but very cool. Haha, Justin doesn't know what his gift is. He is clueless, mwahaha.

I'm tired already. Time to go chill in bed. Bye Bye!

Word of advice for any of you who plan on interning at a television network...

Never ask the network president why his job is "so important".

What I really meant was how does MSNBC or any of the jobs within the network make a difference...I asked him to justify MSNBC's place in the world and function for humanity. I asked this in a room of production interns who asked many questions about how to get a job, networking, and grad school prior to my philosophical inquiry. Luckily for me, Rick Kaplan is a good man who answered my question by playing the 9-11 card. I knew what his answer would be. I just wanted to fuck around. ;-)

So I'm feeling a little better today. I ditched MSNBC yesterday b/c I suddenly felt like I needed a mini vacation. Justin and I golfed, ate taco bell, and saw Wedding Crashers. I felt much better. And my previous put-downs about Wedding Crashers were unfounded - I really liked it. It was funny! That's because Ben Stiller wasn't in it to ruin the movie.

I just turned to my left and found another person from William Paterson here at MSNBC. At least once a week someone new from WPU starts working here. He just said, "I bet you'll be working here soon too."

Don't be too sure about that!! I should have said, "Not when I sell a sitcom..."

Group Therapy...watch for it. ;)

Today sucks already, and I've only been awake for 4 hours...

But LTR Beach Party was awesome! Thanks for letting us take over your house, Colleen. :)

Back to sucking...I am at MSNBC. I went to one of those intern lunch & learns that I always avoid and it was pretty lame-o. They had a guy from media relations speak and that sounded possibly interesting so I e-mailed him and asked if I could intern in his dept for a bit and he replied "sure, we'll set something up". Not sure where that leaves thing, but okay.

I think I just feel like what I'm doing has no significance to the world. Well, it doesn't. Maybe I just don't like the whole 24 hr news network thing. Maybe I should just throw my effort into "Group Therapy"! Hahaha.

That's supposed to the working title for the newest and greatest sitcom ever, created by myself and Jason. Hey, it could happen.

Well I need to go start an intern evaluation before my manager leaves at 3. Hhhhmmm, maybe this is a bad day to evaluate my internship? Yup.

Nice. What's nicer is that I'm at MSNBC right now. I accidentally walked by today's intern "lunch & learn" session and had to like run before they saw me. Yea, I don't do those group things. I should go to master and do their work for them. And I will. Bye Bye.
